The Neomium BMS continuously monitors the individual condition and development of each individual cell. This allows abnormal changes to be detected weeks or months in advance, before they lead to a noticeable loss of capacity or performance in the entire battery pack.
The BMS is not limited to collecting technical data. In avionics in particular, it communicates directly with the pilot. It processes the information in line with the pilot’s individual requirements and settings and translates it into easy-to-understand status displays, warnings and specific instructions for action.
Visualization of cell temperatures in the BMS
Clear display of all cells in green
No action required
(approx. 40°–65°)
Yellow/green to orange cells
Natural heating, for example after aircraft takeoff or after extreme acceleration or uphill driving in a ground vehicle
No action required
(temperature difference >15°)
A distinctly red cell (e.g. 10-3) compared with the remaining cells indicates extreme stress
Replace the affected cell as soon as possible
A warning from the BMS could, for example, read: Zelle 10-3 / kritische Temperatur 75° / Austausch erforderlich
Depending on the application, safety level and configuration, the BMS can prevent the battery pack from being recommissioned until the affected cell has been replaced and proper condition has been restored.

An automatic lockout could prevent reactivation or the next takeoff, or result in a controlled shutdown of the propulsion system during flight if deliberately confirmed by the pilot.
